Big 3 Appreciation Open Trackday

Kneeriders.com held one of their open trackdays on August 3rd, which was also their 1st Annual Big 3 Appreciation Day, when they invite the head of each of the three biggest trackday providers in Northern California; Lance Keigwin of Keigwins @ the Track, Shawn Reilly of Zoom Zoom Trackdays, and Michael Earnest of Pacific Track Time. These are the guys who normally oversee the common trackdays held in numerous track in Northern CA, so this time/day was for them to simply enjoy the tracks as riders like they provide for the rest of the public.

Capped at a maximum of 40 riders for the day, Thunderhill was clear ahead of me 95% of the time. An open trackday that almost seemed more of a "private" trackday. Got to work with my buddy Vince, and ride around with other riding friends Rhonda and Ral. Other than following those guys, the track was all mine until one of just the handful of fast guys would zip by me.

Bess and I have something up our sleeves in October, so I needed
to ride on track with her to gauge her pace. One of the highlights
of that day!
